how rude….
September 2, 2008 at 10:07 pm | In Musings again, bad publicity, computers, consumer woes | Leave a Commentso, my new pc is fabulous. I didn’t think it could get any better until I hooked up my new 22″ widescreen LCD monitor. I think I drooled a bit.
However, there’s one minor glitch and it involves the video card drivers. Nothing major.. just a minor annoyance. So.. this evening on one forum, I was directed to another forum, which happened to be my video card manufacturers forum, for possible insight.
After attempting to use their search function three times, I realized I needed to register on the site. Fine, I bought their card, I can probably get some use out of the forum. I do love me some forums. Anywho, I registered, quickly, and proceeded to use the search function. Mind you, I wasnt’ trying to post… just use the search function to find pertinent information.
THEY BANNED ME. Why? Because my IP address didn’t match the time zone specified on the registration. I left everything at default, because who cares what time zone I’m in. I register on forums and lately they’ve all looked the same. Let me say it again, THEY BANNED ME. All I had done was enter two search words, and hit submit. BANNED.
So, if you’re in the mood for a forum that sucks and is overly paranoid, head on over to sapphire tech. And just for kicks, I’ll add this: I also heard their rebate form process sucks hairy, cheezy balls too.
stupid forum. they suck.
